Monthly Series Will Showcase the Israeli Film about the Disengagement from the Gaza Strip
Monthly free-screenings with the award-winning film “Storm of Emotions,” an Israeli documentary about the disengagement from the Gaza Strip, and efforts to achieve a democratic decision amidst great social and political turmoil. It was clearly one of the most complex and sensitive missions ever carried out, and is far from a complete
resolution. “Storm of Emotions” explores this mission from the perspective of the Israeli police force, the law enforcement authority tapped to carry out this mission. The film considers how these individuals had to balance their emotions, beliefs, conscience and brotherhood with their own people while trying to maintain civil order and a democratic
outcome. It is a story of humanity in its finest hour. This is the story of brothers in heart.
The film has been short-listed among the 15 contenders in the Best Documentary Feature category by the Academy of Motion Picture of Arts and Sciences. The film also won the Best Documentary at the Monaco International Film Festival. The special showing on Sunday, January 7, will be at 11:00 a.m. at the Triplex Cinema and is free to the public.
